Alright, now that the intial shockwave associated with making yet another "grown-up" move in my life has passed, I can elaborate a little more on the ole house purchase.

I've been shoppin around the last couple of months for a nice little cottage I could call my own. Nothing too flashy, just a nice 3-4 bedroom, 2 bath with a little brick on the outside and some hardwood on the inside. About 4 weeks ago I thought I'd found the dream palace, and tentatively I placed my first ever offer on it. That in itself was a lil shakey.

Jason (my realtor) placed the offer paperwork in front of me and with a hand like a crack addict I shook out a signature. We came in about 5 grand under the asking price, and felt relatively confident that the sellers would bite. As the deadline for the offer approached, I started mentally picking out curtains, contemplating bedroom sets and deciding where the obligatory Christmas Greetin Card picture would be taken. 5 minutes before the offer had to be accepted or denied, another family swooped in, offered 2 grand more than me and promised to close on the house in a scant two weeks. So like that, my first house disappeared into the haze and I was back at square one.

But I realized that from that point on, I wouldn't settle for a house that didn't match up to or exceed my first dream domicile. So a couple of weeks passed and then I found it. I've got some pics up on my MySpace blog... here's the linky... don't know if you can access it without being a member, but it doesn't hurt to try right?

And you'll notice I'm not in the mood to code, so copy and paste it bitches.

So there it is. 3 beds, 2 baths, brick and wood exterior, hardwood floors in the dining room and kitchen, a fireplace, an extra room for the music, and a big ass backyard. I close on November 15th, and prolly move in the same day.

As of now it's just me and good ole Pat... but I desperately need a third roomate. Male or female, if you can come up with aboot $300-$350 a month and promise not to shit on the carpets, inquire within!

And because these things tend to come in threes...

I got accepted into grad school yesterday. I was a little nervous considering my downward spiral of undergrand GPA, but my work experience, bachelors from the toughest journalism school in the nation and minty fresh breath were enough to get the green light. So I start my forray into the MBA degree in January.

So if these things come in 3's...what completes the trifecta? Ooohh, maybe it's breast implants or somethin sweet like that. One can only dream.

Got a rediculous Saturday night ahead of myself at the bar. There are certain conditions that when met, gurantee a busy and crazy night at the bar...

All of the signs of the apocalypse have been revealed...

1) Mizzou beat Nebraska today in an afternoon match-up. This means a few things. Tailgaiting booze will be just about wearing off come 5ish. People will be loading up on alcohol absorbing carbs and grease, fortifying there stomachs for a night full of drinking. Their spirits will also be high thanks to the victory, leading to shot after shot after shot...

2) It's a little rainy. I don't know why, but cold drizzle almost always washes the biggest crowds into the bar.

3) I called it. If I call it, it happens. That's not ego, that's cold hard fact. Like a sooth sayer predicting where to dig a well, if I feel it, it's prolly gonna happen.

So a long night ahead, hopefully a steady influx of tips to put towards the house...

Drop a note in the guestbook would ya? I'm feeling liek my life is pulling me in 20 different directions and I could really use a little "howdy" from y'all.
