This is just to say,

That I have burned a lot of bridges lately. And as the flames lick my heeles, it's either stand and regret as my legs burn to a crisp,

- or -

Pivot and dash, looking for higher ground and something to douse my heels in.

The entries have tapered off, but don't worry, I'm just readjusting to new developments, new obstacles, new opportunities.

Right on cue, the last "blizzard" of the season blew into town. After a week of relative calm and flip flop temperatures, the clouds blanketed the sky, and blue faded back into gray.

One last reminder from winter that whatever we can bring life to, must inevitably die. So to complete the metaphor, I have been slowly dying the last few weeks, but as is often the case, rebirth is just around the corner.

For a fleeting moment, I was thinking about chasing my past again, and trying to find some answers in the folks that used to warm my insides. But that is just foolish reasoning, and banished to the backside of my brain where it can sleep until the next cycle begins.

So raise your glasses kids, winter is over. Spring is on its way and we're all about due for a little bit of greatness.
